Nepal Earthquake Appeal

It's now a week on from the tragic earthquake that has devastated lives in Nepal and hopes have all but faded of finding survivors. The stories of loss are unbearable (even a week on little is known about the extent of damage and loss in remote villages) and the reality for those left behind is one of desperation and suffering.

Millions have been left without shelter, food and clean water and over 1 million children are homeless as a result of the devastation. As parents of young children ourselves we've watched the news and been moved to tears by the images.

Nepal is such a big part of the Mountain Sports industry in the UK… everything from being a dream destination for mountaineering and trekking, to being the visual backdrop to a lot of our marketing and the spiritual home to many of our brands. It seems only right that we give something back to a country and their communities that give so much to us. We're sure you share our desire in urgently wanting to help the relief effort and wanting to ensure it makes a difference and we've therefore decided to focus our donations towards Help Sherpas, Help Nepal.

This charity is already well established as part of the Paldorje Education Fund network which was set up to benefit the children of Sherpa families in remote villages. By working with this charity it guarantees that 100% of our donation will be spent on the urgent provision of clean drinking water, food, sanitation and shelter in Nepal.
