MSR Voluntary Safety Recall

23 February 2024
MSR Voluntary Safety Recall

Affected products: Select MSR cooking pots sold between 2008–2024

Potential hazard: Handle can disengage, causing risk of burns/scalds

Cascade Designs and Mountain Safety Research (MSR) has issued a voluntary recall of certain cook pots because the pot handle can come loose or disengaged, potentially spilling contents, including hot liquids, and creating a burn hazard.

Affected products: MSR Trail Lite™ and Reactor® camping cooking pots, sold individually or as part of sets, including the Trail Lite Solo Cook Set, Trail Lite Duo Cook Set, PocketRocket® Stove Kit, and Reactor Stove Systems

What to do: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled camping cooking pot and contact Cascade Designs to inquire about obtaining a free replacement pot handle/lifter. The replacement pot handle/lifter does not require tools for installation.
