9 Women-led Outdoor Organisations

9 Women-led Outdoor Organisations

There's nothing quite like heading out on an adventure with like-minded people. That's why we're highlighting 10 great women-led groups that give women the confidence to enjoy the great outdoors

Lack of diversity, sexism and safety concerns – there are many reasons why women may feel more confident in a group.

Research even shows that women are accessing the outdoors less. The Women in the Hills research network found in 2020 only 35% of participants in general outdoor activities and 20% in mountain sports are female. The Love Her Wild 2021 survey also found 62% of respondents have been treated differently in the outdoors because of their gender. That’s why we find it so important to highlight these groups.
