Salomon QSTx Skis 2025

We’re excited to introduce the new 24.25 season QSTx from Salomon, available at Ellis Brigham on early release. This 116mm wide-boy is designed for finding those dreamy powder lines and maximising smiles per mile on the way down! It uses the same Karuba / Poplar Full Woodcore construction as the slimmer and lightweight QST Echo, and has a big rocker profile. This means that despite its hefty waistline, it’s not a slouch when it comes to playfulness. Overall manoeuvrability is impressive and feels more nimble and playful than you might expect. With a bit of C/FX carbon for added power and a Cork Damplifier, you’ve got a chunky ski that also has a decent amount of hard snow stability too. So, if you’re not afraid of a wider ski and your dreams are filled with powder bowls, pillow lines, and knee-deep stashes, then look no further!

Terrain Type
They are built for floating, surfing and slashing down powder feilds. Although most at home playing in the deep stuff they can handle a bit of fun playing on groomed runs, off to the sides and through the trees too.

Skier Type
Someone who loves to explore the off-piste terrain and searches for the most fun lines in the best snow stashes. They value the versatility and stability of a wide ski that can float on the powder and a ski that can carve and play on firmer or rougher snow when it's not knee deep powder too.

Overview

Shape
With a super floaty 116mm width and ample rocker, this ski effortlessly cruises through the deepest and softest snow - its natural habitat. However, its capabilities aren't just limited to soft snow. On firmer terrain, the set-back contact points ensure easy, maneuverable handling. This enables it to tackle bumps, groomers, and tree runs, adding a layer of versatility for those days when it's not back to back powder runs.

Rocker
Tip and Tail Rocker uses camber underfoot for grip and response; the rocker aids turn initiation and release.

Core
The Full Poplar Woodcore maximises liveliness, stability and ski-to-snow contact while filtering vibrations. A central strip of flax and carbon (C/FX) assits with the resposiveness and energy whilst keeping it smoother than if just carbon was used.

Construction
The ski features a full recycled ABS sidewall. This is created using by-products from the manufacturing process, resulting in a dampening sidewall that feels direct. It’s designed for optimal power transmission, providing superior control and grip.

Key Features

C/FX
Carbon and Flax woven together. It combines the strength, stability, minimal weight of carbon with the increased level of dampening of the flax.

Cork Damplifier
Cork is three times more absorbing than Koroyd. Using it in the tip of the ski enables a high level of vibration absorption and dampening with even less weight.

• Sizing Description: Forehead to over head height. The increased length ensures better grip, stability and floatation and is essential to making the ski work to its full potential. Large rockers at the tip mean it is important not to size down.
