Nordica’s Spitfire Ti is a high-performance carving ski made for those who love skiing groomers. Built with a wood core and one layer of metal means that it’s not as demanding some of the stiffest skis, making it ideal for less aggressive or lighter skiers. The oversized SL tip shape allows for quick and easy turn initiation while the GS waist and tail enable everything from big sweeping turn to quick short-radius arcs. The new Recoil Power Plate makes for a smooth flex with added stability. If you’re looking for a versatile carving ski that is playful and easy to turn, the Spitfire Ti is exactly what you need. It’s also a brilliant choice for skiers wanting to start working through their instructor qualifications.
Terrain Type & Ability Level
This is an on-piste carving machine. Reds and blacks are where it is most at home, at a variety of speed.
Advanced skiers wanting a precise piste ski, but not something that will spit them out of turns. The Spitfire Ti keeps a level of forgiveness amongst the performance, allowing the skier to take it easy if they wish, and meaning that it makes a great option for the first instructor exams as it has the ability to ski fast and tidily, and still remain supple enough to easily control at slow speeds.
The oversized SL tip shape allows for quick and easy turn initiation while the GS waist and tail enable everything from big sweeping turn to quick short-radius arcs. The shape extends right into the tip and the tail for the maximum contact length and edge grip. The 71mm waist is narrow for quick edge changes and the 15m radius (168cm) suits a variety of turn sizes.
Full camber for the maximum grip and rebound.
Wood with one layer of metal delivers power and precision, without becoming over-stiff or demanding.
Sidewall construction ensures excellent grip and precise control.
Recoil Power Plate
This exclusive Nordica plate has been specifically developed to allow the ski to flex naturally, feeling more energetic and enjoyable.
EB tester’s comments: Alex (Castleford) Ideal for Intermediate through to advanced level piste skiers. Surprisingly stable for a ski that is narrow at the waist (71mm). Unbelievably quick edge to edge. Great for anybody looking to rip the piste from first lift to last.
