Giancarlo Zanatta was an Italian boot maker visiting New York when he witnessed the lunar landing of 1969.
It inspired him to create the Original Moon Boot and his plans were put into action, along with his team, upon his return to his hometown of Montebelluna, Veneto. Rising in popularity throughout the 70s, Moon Boots represented the symbol of irony, fashion and design and their practicality made them a popular choice for cooler climates. Over the decades their styles have been adapted and developed to maintain their relevance in the current market whilst they have managed to maintain solid roots with their classic design; an international icon.
