The DPS Kaizen 112 is an exciting rework of a category leading freeride ski, using an improved core and updated rocker. It’s all about premium quality, crafted with high-end materials and leading design to create a ski with huge floatation and a smooth feel. Manoeuvrability is key with its 15m turn radius, allowing you to pivot, slarve, and slash wherever you choose. The deep tip rocker and taper provide exceptional float, even in tight trees. The lowered tail rocker profile increases edge engagement on firm snow, giving you an energetic pop out of every turn. The Kaizen 112 is suited for any terrain and highlights the new Split Core construction, maximizing damping. Float effortlessly in powder, conquer piste runs, and handle any unpredictable conditions that come your way.

Terrain Type & Ability Level

Terrain Type
It’s soft snow focused but skis way more easily than any other 112mm waisted ski on the market, making it a great choice for a freeride ski that isn’t just limited to powder days. It’s surprisingly fun to ski on pistes and has plenty of grip too. There is nothing else out there that has this kind of float and this much ease of turning, and that’s put together with a construction that packs plenty of grip and energy.

Skier Type
Advanced skiers who want the smoothest turns in soft snow and a ski that will be responsive and playful around the mountain. This is a unique ski, with a unique construction, that will appeal to skiers who appreciate craftsmanship and quality materials, as well as performance all over the mountain.

Overview

Shape
The shape is both surfy and intuitive. The tapered tip and tail initiate turns effortlessly and allows them to be exited with clean carves or easily washed out. 112mm provides awesome float when you find soft snow, working with the shape to allow the ski to flow through turns in powder and keep that surfy, playful feel even when the snow isn’t deep or you’re on groomers. The turny 15m radius feels great on firmer snow and helps create the flowing feel in softer conditions.

Rocker
Rocker at the tip and tail equates to 45% rocker. Sounds like a lot but it works perfectly with the shaping. The camber underfoot makes the most of the carbon construction and playful 15m radius.

Core
DPS uses a two-layer wood setup 'Split Core'. Using ash at the bottom for added power and bump absorption, and on top they use poplar to keep it lightweight without sacrificing performance. To amp performance even more, they sandwich it between two layers of carbon, giving you a boost without the unwanted weight that metal incurs. It's the perfect blend of power, weight, and performance.

Construction
Full sidewall produces direct and strong power transmission for the best control.

Key Features

Race Bases
Using a tough sintered base has its advantages. It can handle the knocks and scrapes that often happen when skiing in freeride terrain. Plus, it's excellent at soaking up wax, which means you'll get the smoothest glide possible for those speedy downhill runs on snow.

Rockwell 48 steel edges
Rockwell 48 steel edges are an excellent choice for freeride skis because they provide durability, edge retention, grip, versatility, and longevity—all crucial attributes for skiers who seek adventure in challenging mountain environments. These edges contribute to a smoother and more confident freeride skiing experience, ensuring that you can push your limits and explore the backcountry with confidence.
