This isn’t just a ski for powder. The width means it does have a soft snow focus, but the tail shape and camber, with rocker only at the nose, ensures there is impressive grip for firm snow or when edge grip is essential. Shape
104mm in the waist suits a ski designed for soft snow as well as all the other conditions you’ll encounter on the mountain, wide enough to float when it’s deeper, not so big that it becomes cumbersome. A radius of 22m in the 178cm boosts the stability required to ski any terrain. Lots of tip taper works with the nose rocker for easy handling; the flatter, longer tail improves the edge grip.
Rocker
EST Freeride Rocker. Forebody rocker and extra tip taper combine for optimized float in the soft stuff. Positive camber under foot with no tail rocker ensures edge hold so skis stay on rails when carving is the priority.
Core
Caruba core. Armada’s lightest wood core material creates the best uphill feel while retaining the power and damping characteristics required for descending the gnarliest terrain. This core makes no performance concessions in its quest to be ultra-light.
Construction
AR75 Sidewall. Sidewall on 75% of the ski to allow for weight savings on tip and tail while maintaining rigidity and drive in the prime zone. Below the binding, a sandwich of rubber and Titanal works to reduce vibration that otherwise chatters into your boots and shortens your day. A carbon reinforcement is used to provide excellent energy rebound.
