The Redster Q can trace its DNA straight to Atomic’s World Cup winning Redster program, so you know that it will be completely at home on pistes and firm snow. The wider waist means that it’s a happy to explore a little and is more than capable of handling whatever conditions you find skiing from open to close. It excels on firm morning corduroy, slashes through chop and handles slush with aplomb, whether pushing your limits on steeper terrain or taking it easy on cruisy blues.

Shape
It’s 76.5mm underfoot with a 14.3m radius in a 169cm and has Atomic’s All Condition Piste Shape that uses a Multi Radius Sidecut and extra width underfoot to produce confidence inspiring handling and impressive stability. The contact points extend right into the tip and tail, working with the Active Camber, to provide excellent edge hold and means you don’t need to ski this model long.
Rocker
Active Camber means no rocker at the tip or tail, this increases the effective edge contact for better grip on icy slopes and improved stability.
Core
The mix of Power Woodcore and Densolite ensures good handling without excess weight. The Power Woodcore is an ash and poplar core that adds a ton of stability and dampens vibrations at speed. The Densolite is a foam core that keeps the ski agile as well as dampening vibrations for effortless skiing. This is boosted by a Ti Powered Titanal layer that increases torsional flex and creates a smoother ride.
Construction
Dura Cap Sidewall uses a sidewall from base to top sheet for controlled power transmission and great edge grip. The rounded shape of the Dura Cap is a fantastic durability feature as it picks up fewer dents and dings.

EB tester’s comments: Simon (Fort William) Seeing as they are desgined for intermediates, I was surprised at how they coped at higher speeds too. They are super easy to use, but don't feel too soft for more agressive skiing. Great for encouraging progression and carving on piste.
