2014 sees the agreement between Glenmore Lodge and Ellis Brigham enter its second year. The partnership has been a huge success. More people than ever before have been introduced to Glenmore Lodge, giving them access to the best outdoor and adventure training in the UK.

Ellis Brigham staff and customers have also benefited hugely with staff having access to the expert advice and technical knowledge of the Glenmore Lodge instructional team. Over 50 staff members have also had the pleasure of attending training at Glenmore Lodge, enhancing their already high levels of customer service and adding to their product knowledge.

Glenmore Lodge is Scotland's National Outdoor Training Centre: their aim is to offer world class training in outdoor adventure sports, encouraging more people to enjoy the outdoors more often.
They offer courses from introductory level through to advanced and instructor qualifications. Their instructors spend a lot of time training the future generation of instructors, coaches and leaders. Courses offered range from rock climbing to kayaking, winter skills to ski mountaineering and biking to medical and rescue. 

The most visible part of Glenmore Lodge's work is the delivery of instructional courses; a significant part of their work is in supporting the entire outdoor sector from schools, youth organisations and clubs as well as the wider adventure tourism industry.

Glenmore Lodge is situated at the heart of the Cairngorms National Park just 8 miles from Aviemore. The location provides immediate access to Britains most extensive and iconic high mountain range as well as the best rivers and lochs Scotland has to offer.

With their professional knowledge and expertise, Glenmore Lodge have provided a list of clothing and equipment tried, tested and approved by their instructors in the Scottish Mountains.

Introduction to Winter Skills – 2 Days

A must for anyone interested in walking in winter. This course introduces the core techniques required to move about the mountains in winter. Techniques covered will generally include use of axe and crampons; basic winter navigation; basic avalanche and weather awareness. Beginner Biathlon – 4 Days

A Glenmore Lodge exclusive! Get a good, fun feel for the incredible sport of biathlon. Learn prone and standing shooting at 50m targets and basic rollerskiing all delivered by Mike Dixon MBE BEM, Britain's most successful Biathlete, 6 x Olympian and Eurosport summariser. Course includes video analysis and general fitness instruction and is ideal for anyone looking for a new and very unique way to keep fit.

Introduction to Paddlesport Touring - 2 Days

Ideal for those keen to find out what canoeing and kayaking is all about. On the first day experiencing a range of touring boats to discover what suits you best alongside learning the simple skills to get up and paddling on one of our fantastic local lochs. You'll then have an opportunity to go for a journey on the second day. By the end of the course you will understand what equipment is available, how to safely use it and how to get out paddlesport touring.
