Peregrine 72 Master Skis + Comp 16 GW Master Bindings

Overview

The Volkl Peregrine 72 Master blends race-inspired precision with a touch more forgiveness. It excels on firm snow, rewarding confident, forward skiing and early edge engagement. The narrow waist delivers quick edge-to-edge response, strong grip, and smooth rebound through short-to-medium turns, while the Comp 16 GW Master binding completes a precise, high-performance carving setup.

Features

Tailored Carbon Tip

Individual carbon fibres are stitched onto a carrier and positioned precisely along the shovel’s stress lines. This allows Völkl to tune stiffness and torsion where they matter most, producing a quick build-up of energy, precise turn entry and a direct response from the tip without unnecessary effort.

3D Radius Sidecut

The 3D Radius Sidecut ensures a range of turn sizes feel natural. A long radius on the tip and tail is combined with a tighter radius in the centre. The longer radii aid bigger turns and higher speeds with easy steering, less tip disruption and smoother turn exits. The shorter radius in the centre makes it easier to execute short turns and improves agility.

3D.Glass

Three-dimensionally folded glass layers reinforce the tip and tail, with additional support extending above the sidewalls. This increases edge grip and rebound through the turn, giving the ski a livelier response and faster edge changes while retaining strong contact with firm or icy pistes.

P-Tex 4504 Base and Zebra Structure

The high-density sintered P-Tex 4504 base combines strong wax absorption with excellent wear resistance and fast glide. Völkl’s Zebra Structure adds a defined base pattern developed for precise piste performance, supporting consistent speed and controlled turn initiation.

Full Sidewall Phenol

Race-derived phenol sidewalls create a highly precise connection between skier input and the edges. Combined with the World Cup construction, they support smooth power transmission and accurate edge control when the Peregrine 72 Master is pressured hard on firm snow.

World Cup Plate 10mm

The 10mm World Cup plate creates a solid interface between the Comp 16 binding and the ski, supporting direct power transmission and stability under high loads. It completes the Master’s race-room setup for skiers who want immediate response at high edge angles and speed.
