Fall in love with skiing all over again with Nordica’s Santa Ana 92. A favorite among skiers who spend most of their time on trails, this all-mountain ski offers tremendous versatility and no shortage of confidence. For an especially smooth and stable ride, the Santa Ana 92 features a fresh construction that pairs both a wood core and an elastomer Pulse core with a sheet of terrain-specific metal. Combined with a versatile waist width, this construction amplifies control and response. And thanks to its outstanding edge hold, the Santa Ana 92 is at home making powerful and precise turns. Fuel your passion with Nordica’s Santa Ana 92.

Terrain Type & Ability Level

Terrain Type
The Santa Ana 92 sits in the all mountain category but it could just as well be positioned as a freeride model. The tip shape taper plus the rocker make it suit soft snow, whilst the width and powerful construction add all mountain characteristics and ensure it will happily carve up pistes too. This makes it an ideal choice for skiers who will spend a good amount of time off-piste and who recognise that powder days are, in reality, few and far between, and they get their kicks searching different terrain and skiing every condition. The long nose and firm flex work especially well when the snow is rough or chopping-up, where some skis might start to feel unstable the 92 cuts through it with ease.

Skier Type
Confident skiers who want a ski that really will go everywhere without compromise. Its wood and twin metal construction does mean it requires decent technique or power to get the most out of it; the shape ensures it will deal with every condition and terrain.

Overview

Shape
It’s a model that still borrows from earlier versions with the long gradual nose and smooth rocker at the front, but now has a longer turn radius which improves stability. This, combined with the construction, makes for smooth handling in tricky and soft snow, as well as nicely predictable turn initiation. The 92mm waist is the ideal size to work on hard snow and still make the most of fresh stuff. Even on deeper days it planes really well thanks to the blend of shaping and rocker.

Rocker
All Mountain Rocker uses a split of rocker/camber/rocker across the tip, main body and tail of the ski. This gives effortless handling in all conditions as the rocker in the tip aids float and initiation, the camber provides grip and bite on firmer snow, and the tail rocker allows for easy turn release and control in tricky snow. The latest version of this has increased the tail rocker, referred to as the Unlocked Tail, for more control and a smoother ride.

Core
The powerful Energy Ti W core uses a full wood core with a Titanal sheet positioned above and an elastomer Pulse layer in between. The metal improves stability, the wood adds energy and response, and the elastomer layer dampens vibrations to ensure a smooth, powerful ride.

Construction
Sidewalls offer the best in energy transmission and edge grip.

Key Features

Unlocked Tail
The new tail rocker takes its design from the original Enforcer Free 104, which used more rocker at the tail than the rest of the Enforcer and Santa Ana line. By adapting this to the rest of the range, Nordica have introduced more control, made the ski smoother and increased the playful feel, all without losing the power that these skis are known for.
