Your guide to guaranteed alpine snow

Not all ski resorts can guarantee perfect snow. With rising costs and warmer winters, we have compiled a list of snow-sure ski resorts so you can book with confidence.

1. Tignes & Val d’Isère, France

“Both professionally and personally, I have had some of my favourite skiing in Tignes late in the season. It’s just a different feeling. Plenty of daylight, empty slopes, often some of the very best conditions with fresh snow and spring temperatures, and to top it off, surprisingly good value. "Avoriaz has delivered great early-season conditions for me several times, making it a good bet for cheaper pre-Christmas trips.  

For me, one of the major benefits of Avoriaz is its accessibility. If you’re keeping costs and emissions down by driving from the UK, it is a good couple of hours closer than some other resorts. 

It may not be as picturesque as some other resorts and can look a bit like Gotham City when stripped of its snowy coat, but Avoriaz is car-free, offering from the door piste skiing and ski touring and a great atmosphere for skiers."  - Kerry, Digital Marketing Manager
