Low asymmetry climbing shoes are comfortable and distribute load widely but transfer less power. Highly asymmetrical shoes primarily weight the big and index toes to transfer more power. 

Low downturn climbing shoes are supportive, comfortable, and versatile. Highly downturned shoes give less support but better hooking capability and power transfer from heel to toe. 

High sensitivity shoes have thinner rubber and let you feel the texture of holds. Low sensitivity shoes give less feedback but are more comfortable on long days. 

Choose stiff climbing shoes for support on small edges and on long sessions. Choose softer shoes for increased sensitivity and range of movement on holds.
