Jöttnar made the Men's Asgard Jacket to protect climbers in severe alpine conditions. Their proprietary 3-layer Skjoldr fabric is durably waterproof, with a 70-denier recycled nylon outer that resists abrasion for long-term performance. Fully climbing compatible, the jacket's streamlined articulated fit lets you move comfortably while keeping weight and bulk low.

Features

Skjoldr waterproof protection

Jöttnar's Skjoldr fabric is waterproof, windproof, and breathable, with a PFAS-free water-repellent finish. It'll keep you comfortable and protected from the elements.

Helmet compatible hood

The hood is shaped for an optimal fit over a climbing helmet. You can adjust the hood at the front and rear to keep it secure when worn without one.

Two-way front zip

You can undo the water-repellent AquaGuard front zip from the bottom to increase ventilation, provide clear access to your harness belay loop, or improve comfort when you sit down.

Zipped sleeve pocket

Easy to access, the zipped sleeve pocket is ideal for small items like a lift pass.

Internal pockets

Two internal stretch pockets – one zipped and one open – are ideal for stashing things quickly and keeping them warm, such as gloves and electronics.

Embedded RECCO reflector

Embedded in the hood, the RECCO reflector is a lightweight, passive reflector that makes you searchable to rescuers in an emergency.
