Overview

Now in its fifth generation, the Black Crows Camox Freebird remains one of the go-to all-round touring skis on the market, paired here with precut Pilus skins for a hassle-free system. A 97mm waist, progressive rocker and 18m radius keep them steady, predictable and floaty in mixed backcountry snow, while notch-and-hook skins make switching from climbing mode to downhill mode lighter, faster and simpler for quick switches going from uphill to downhill mode.

Features

Ski- Skin Notch

A notch integrated into the ski’s tail creates a clean, secure connection with the skin for quick, straightforward attachment. It also allows the skin to finish shorter than the ski’s full length, removing unnecessary material and saving valuable weight on the ascent.

Skin - Mohair and Polyamide Plush

The mix works because mohair provides smoother glide and lower weight, while polyamide adds grip, durability and resistance to wear. Together, they give a more balanced climbing skin than either material alone: efficient on long approaches, dependable on steeper tracks and robust enough for regular use. The hydrophobic treatment also helps limit water absorption and reduce icing as conditions change.
