7075 Aluminium Construction

At 675g, the HY Free keeps weight low for touring while using 7075 aluminium for the structural components. The result is a strong, cleanly built hybrid tour binding with a robust downhill feel and bomber construction.

Adjustable AFD Spacers

The HY Free works with most alpine, freeride and ski touring boots. Its adjustable AFD spacer system helps match different sole thicknesses, keeping the boot correctly supported in the binding. Softer spacers can also help damp vibration from thinner plastic soles, giving a cleaner, more secure downhill feel.

CLIMBING, Negative Walk Mode

The -18mm negative walk mode drops the heel below the toe for a flatter, more efficient stride on approaches and low-angle skin tracks. It is a real advantage with freeride boots that have limited cuff movement, helping longer tours feel smoother and less tiring.

TOURING, Seamless Mode Change

Switching between climb and ski mode is quick and simple, with no removable parts to swap over or store. Raise the toe arms for walking, then rotate them forward and down for the descent, making transitions cleaner when conditions or terrain change.
