I enjoy all forms of running, but most of the routes I do are off-road in my local hills in the South Lakes. I tend to run about 20-25km a week and have so far put just under 150km on the Merrell Agility Peak 6s.

The Agility Peak 6 delivers better stability, energy return, and traction for long miles on rugged trails. In December, Kerry, our Digital Marketing Manager, and Joe, Assistant Store Manager put the Merrell Agility Peak 6 through its paces and shared their experience.

Joe: This trainer owes its minimal weight to its very breathable upper, and even with a considerable cushioning stack, it doesn't feel chunky or heavy. In Spain, I really noticed the breathability. In the UK, my only desire would be that they were waterproof, given the conditions. UK runners may appreciate the extra waterproof protection of the GORE-TEX version.
Throughout testing, the Agility Peaks stayed just as comfy as they were when fresh out of the box, and took no time at all to bed-in. I believe they could easily double up as a light hiking shoe, but an emphasis on the 'light' as there isn't an awful lot of support offered if you wanted to carry a large pack. I'd certainly avoid heavy rain unless you come prepared with some waterproof socks.
They are super easy to get on, just tie them up and you're good to go.
Kerry: These really excel on the hills and feel like a major step forward from previous iterations of the Agility Peak. They feel stable, confident, inspiring and fun when running on rugged and technical terrain. I look forward to getting many more miles in them!
Joe: In summary, the Agility Peak 6 from Merrell is a superbly plush runner made mainly for dry conditions, but can chew its way through mud when needed. The Vibram outsole paired with the cushioning was standout, maintaining a soft but responsive feel in all tests.
