The Arc'teryx Men's Alpha SV GORE-TEX Jacket is an exceptional mountaineering hardshell. Made to withstand severe alpine conditions, Arc'teryx paired their toughest 100-denier nylon face fabric with a 3-layer GORE-TEX Pro ePE membrane for the highest levels of waterproofness, abrasion resistance, and durability.

GORE-TEX Pro ePE waterproof protection

The GORE-TEX Pro expanded polyethylene (ePE) membrane is completely PFAS-free. Providing the highest level of weather protection, it's durably waterproof, totally windproof, and reliably breathable.

Helmet compatible StormHood

Arc'teryx's StormHood design, sized to fit a climbing helmet, provides protection without obstructing your field of vision. It can be adjusted at the rear and cinched around the face.

Embedded RECCO reflector

Embedded into the hood, the RECCO reflector is a lightweight, passive reflector that makes you searchable to rescuers in the event of an emergency.

Zipped bicep pocket

Keep small items secure in the left bicep pocket. It has a WaterTight zip which is waterproof, to protect the contents within.

Internal drop pockets

Two internal drop pockets – one with an integrated security pocket – make it easy to stash items fast and keep them close to the body, such as gloves.

Two-way pit zips

These WaterTight zipped underarm vents, positioned to minimise sacrifice to waterproof protection, let you dump excess body heat and reduce perspiration.
