In 1984, Teva created the world's first sport sandal on the banks of the Grand Canyon.
The brand outfits free-spirited adventure-seekers all over the world with versatile, modern outdoor footwear. In 2020, Teva committed to reducing the brand's environmental impact by ensuring 100% of the iconic straps are made with recycled plastic, so future generations can continue exploring the wild world around them.
LESS PLASTIC, MORE FREEDOM
Starting this year, all polyester straps across Teva's entire product line are made from traceable, verifiable recycled plastic using REPREVE® yarn.
That’s over 9 million plastic bottles kept out of landfills and put to better use strapping sandals to your feet. In addition to recycled straps, they're seeking sustainable alternatives for key materials and using less water and waste in their packaging— and that is just the beginning. Teva want those who come after them to have the freedom to explore the outdoors tomorrow, so we're reducing our footprint today.
