PICTURE ORGANIC CLOTHING
10 Years On...
Though a young brand, Picture have made their mark on the sports retail industry over the last 10 years. Initially started by 3 childhood friends who shared a passion for all things skatebording and snowboarding, Picture has grown significantly and can now be found in over 30 countries. Social and environmental responsibility is still at the core of their range, as a brief example they utilise recycled and organic products while also considering how they can be transported with minimal carbon impact. In 2014 they recalled a batch of packs due to some minor weak stitching on the lining, the packs were still very much usuable so they were donated to a school project in Nepal.
Fair Wear Foundation
The lack of consideration for workers is a well-known fact in the garment industry. Deplorable working conditions are a reality in many factories.
Behind every Picture product manufactured with environmentally-friendly materials, there are men and women who work hard to make these products as high-quality and long-lasting as possible.
Since 2016, we have been a member of the Fair Wear Foundation as part of an overall effort to continuously improve workplace conditions for the people who make our products.
Today, the fight against climate change requires ending our dependence on fossil fuels, including oil.
To start the process, Picture Organic Clothing mapped every aspect of their business, from raw materials to packaging by way of travel and shipping. Moving forward Picture plan to reduce the use synthetic fibres in their products and increase the use of bio-sourced materials.
