The Petzl Irvis with Flexlock Universal binding is a C1-rated crampon ideal for glacier travel and classic mountaineering. Equipped with Petzl's Flexlock Universal binding system, flexible front and rear cages give a secure fit for mountaineering boots without toe or heel welts. The lightweight tempered steel construction and 10-point configuration ensure stability when walking on hard snow or digging into ice. Antisnow plates prevent snow from balling up under the base of the crampon so you can move unhindered.

C1 C1 crampons have a tape tether that pulls flexible cradles around the heel and toe to create a secure binding. This system allows good flex and is suitable for fitting to B1, B2 or B3 boots. It is usually found on low profile 10 point crampons with less aggressive points. They are ideal for winter walking or glacier traverses.
C2 C2 crampons use a plastic heel lever and a flexible toe cradle. This system will give a secure binding to B2 or B3 boots. Crampons tend to be mid-profile with longer secondary spikes and sharper front points. These are the 12 point all-rounders that are easy enough to walk in but still climb hard when called on. Excellent for winter climbing and alpinism.
C3 C3 crampons combine a plastic heel lever and metal toe bar. This system gives a really solid fit but will only work with full B3 boots. Usually a C3 binding is found on bigger, badder 12 or 14 point crampons that offer precise performance on steep ice or highly technical mixed routes. Very aggressive vertical front points give the best penetration on hard ice.

Express orders placed after 1pm (GMT) on Fridays will be dispatched on Mondays. Orders placed on Saturdays or Sundays will be dispatched by Tuesday.

This service is only available to standard UK postcodes. Express delivery is unavailable for the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, the BFPO, and the Scottish Islands/Highlands.
Economy Delivery
If items in your basket need to be sourced from a shop, they will be dispatched in 7 working days. This delivery option is always free.
UK Delivery Times
You’ll receive items dispatched from our warehouse within 2 working days. If we have to source the item(s) from one of our shops, delivery will take up to 5 working days.

Free delivery is available for all orders sent with economy delivery.
In the UK we use DPD Local and Royal Mail to deliver our parcels. If your parcel is small and of low value, we will send it via Royal Mail Tracked 48. Other items will be sent via DPD Local. Physical Gift Vouchers are sent with Royal Mail 1st Class. We will send you an email once we have packed your order. Further tracking information will be sent directly from the courier.
Shipping may take up to 2 days to deliver to Scottish Islands/Highlands.
Please note that a signature is always required upon receipt.
If your address is in a VAT free area, e.g. Channel Islands, VAT will be removed from your order total before payment is made.
Customers are responsible for the cost of all postage charges.
Free Click and Collect In-store
Free Click and Collect is available for all products on the website. At checkout, select Click and Collect as your delivery option. Then, choose the most convenient store to collect your order from.
You will receive an email to confirm your order. You will get a second message when your order is ready to collect.
Items in stock at your chosen store should be available within 24 hours of ordering. If we need to take items from another store or warehouse, it will take between 2 and 5 working days before they are available to collect.
International Delivery
Delivery timeframes for non-UK delivery vary depending on location, and take between 2 – 9 days. Similarly, non UK delivery charges start at £13 for Europe and go up to £30 for Southern hemisphere regions. For more detailed information please visit our international delivery page. Please note that the prices we quote on this page are for standard deliveries, i.e. parcel weight and size restrictions apply. For non-standard deliveries, e.g. skis and snowboards, our customer service team will contact you once you’ve placed the order to discuss any additional payment required.
Returns
Should you be unhappy with any goods and they are in a new and unused condition, then returns must be made within 30 days of receiving the goods. We will issue a refund within 7 working days of the goods being sent back to us. When you receive your order there will be a returns form inside, so please complete this and send back with the returned goods. Return postage must be paid by the customer for unwanted goods, and we offer a variety of ways for you to make a return e.g. taking to one of our stores free of charge, or Post Office drop off for £2.50.
