Hoka One One
Like No Other
Hoka One One was born out of a desire to improve endurance race times by bettering downhill performance. The result was a revolutionary trail running shoe design that looked like no other but also performed like no other.
Not only had the founders developed a shoe that worked well on descents but it also excelled across varied terrain, helping professionals and amateurs alike.
The shoes utilise a heavily cushioned midsole - faster speeds on downhills, rocker sole profile - complements a normal gait and drives you forward and an active foot frame – you foot sits in the midsole rather than on top of it for support and guidance.
HOKA ONE ONE was created with one goal in mind, to make running easier. They do things differently, from the look of their shoes to the technologies that make them possible. If you’ve ever worn a pair, you'll know just what the HOKA difference feels like.
"How Do We Go Faster?"
When Hoka One One imposed a form-follows-function discipline to designing a trail running shoe, they asked the question "How do we go faster?". They answered it with a shoe that was met with ridicule by running shoe establishments but embraced by runners. Those runners started winning races, and running shoe buyers started paying attention.
