Our verdict

‘Just been lucky enough to try out the brand-new bent decode from Atomic. This is the real park orientated one out of the Bent range. 92 under foot, so if you're stomping tricks in the park or you're trying to lock onto rails, it'll feel super solid. I thought they handled really well on piece as well. There's a tonne of grip and it's quite a light feeling ski.’ -

The 88mm waist makes the Maverick 88 CTI ski nimble on hard snow, yet it still provides enough float when conditions turn slushy. The horizon tip and touch of rocker smooth out turns and add just the right lift when you venture into softer snow. It’s perfect for skiers who love performance, charging hard and fast on the piste, but also want the freedom to explore more of the mountain off-piste.

Two pairs of skis leaning against a rustic wooden wall, with snow covering the ground.

The Atomic Maven 88 CTI ski strikes a great balance, stable yet playful, both on and off the piste. It handles hard-packed snow and ice confidently but also feels at home in softer snow and chop. With an 88mm waist, it offers a sweet mix of manoeuvrability and stability. The titanal core brings damping, power, and smooth performance, while the carbon adds that extra pop and energy. All in all, it’s a fantastic choice for the mixed conditions we’re seeing more often in the Alps. Recommended for skiers who want one ski that truly does it all.
