Win a Winter Skills Weekend at Glenmore Lodge

1. Eligibility
The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 years or over, excluding employees of Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports Ltd, Glenmore Lodge, their associated companies, agencies, suppliers and their immediate families.

Proof of age and eligibility may be required.

Only one entry per person is permitted. Entries submitted on behalf of another person or multiple entries submitted by the same individual may be disqualified.

2. How to Enter
To enter, participants must complete the competition entry form and provide the information requested.

The competition will open on [5 October 2026] and close at [1 December 2026]

Entries received after the Closing Date will not be accepted.

No purchase is necessary to enter.

Ellis Brigham accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, incomplete, illegible or cannot be delivered for any technical, network or other reason.

3. The Prize
One winner will receive a Winter Skills Weekend at Glenmore Lodge in 2027, consisting of:
Winter Skills course on a date of their choosing subject to availability

• 2 nights’ accommodation at Glenmore Lodge

• 2 days of winter skills instruction

• Equipment included, if applicable

• Full details here

The prize is subject to availability and must be taken on a date agreed between the winner and Glenmore Lodge during the 2027 winter season. Should the weather or other factors prevent the course from going ahead then the course can be taken in 2028

The prize is for one person only unless expressly stated otherwise.

The prize does not include travel to or from Glenmore Lodge, but is offered on a full board basis. Prize excludes personal insurance, personal equipment, spending money or any other costs not expressly included above.

The winner is responsible for ensuring that they have appropriate travel and activity insurance and meet any fitness (Winter hill walking is arduous so a good level of fitness will allow you to cope with what at times can be harsh and physically demanding conditions), experience (summer mountain walking experience desirable), medical or equipment requirements specified by Glenmore Lodge.

Winter mountain activities are weather-dependent and subject to the operational requirements and safety decisions of Glenmore Lodge. Glenmore Lodge reserves the right to alter, postpone or cancel activities where conditions or circumstances make this necessary.

The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative.

If the prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, Ellis Brigham reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value.

4. Winner Selection
One winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received before the Closing Date.

The draw will take place within 7 days of the Closing Date.

The winner will be contacted using the email address or other contact details provided when entering.

The winner must respond within 7 days of being contacted.

If the winner does not respond within this period, or is found to be ineligible, Ellis Brigham reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

5. Publicity
By entering the competition, entrants agree that, if they are selected as the winner, Ellis Brigham may use their name and general location for the purpose of announcing the winner.

Any additional use of the winner’s image, likeness or comments for promotional purposes will be subject to the winner’s consent where required by law.

6. Personal Data
Personal information provided when entering the competition will be collected and processed by Ellis Brigham for the purpose of administering the competition, contacting the winner and fulfilling the prize.

Personal data will be handled in accordance with Ellis Brigham’s Privacy Policy.

Where an entrant separately opts in to receive marketing communications, their information may also be used for that purpose in accordance with their chosen preferences and applicable data protection legislation.

Entering the competition does not require an entrant to consent to receive marketing communications.

7. General
Ellis Brigham reserves the right to disqualify any entrant where there are reasonable grounds to believe that the entrant has breached these terms and conditions, attempted to manipulate the competition or acted fraudulently.

Ellis Brigham reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the competition where circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary.

Ellis Brigham’s decision regarding the administration of the competition and selection of the winner is final, subject to applicable law, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the result.

Nothing in these terms and conditions limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

The competition and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

8. Glenmore Lodge
Glenmore Lodge is the provider of the prize experience and is responsible for the delivery and operation of the Winter Skills Weekend.

The winner must comply with all Glenmore Lodge booking, participation, safety and conduct requirements.

Glenmore Lodge’s standard terms and conditions may also apply to the winner’s participation in the course.
