Gifts that go beyond
If you’re after a stocking-filler this Christmas, our Buy One, Gift One campaign provides a thoughtful option.
After a customer came into one of our shops to buy a pair of socks for a person who was homeless they had just been talking to, we decided to get together with Smartwool and help. Our aim? To put warm, quality socks on the feet of those who need them this winter.
With the help of our customers since December 2020 we have donated over 2000 pairs of Smartwool socks to homeless charities across the UK and we plan to go further this year as we pledge to donate another 500 pairs.
When you purchase a pair of Smartwool socks between 1st & 24th December we will donate a pair of socks* to one of our four homelessness charities: Barnabus in Manchester, and Spitalfields Crypt Trust, The Connection at St Martin's and Your Place in London.

About Barnabus
Barnabus is a Christian Homeless Charity, providing a lifeline to the homeless in Manchester for over 25 years. They offer help with accommodation, rehabilitation, practical support, healthcare, skills training, and links to employment opportunities.
They also offer a range of creative activities and volunteering opportunities, including peer mentoring, to build confidence, skills and wellbeing.
About Spitalfield's Crypt Trust
SCT was one of the first organisations in the UK offering shelter and support for men who were homeless or struggling with alcoholism. It was founded by the church community at Christ Church in Spitalfields, following the tragic death of a homeless man on the steps of their church.
For more than 50 years they have been working in east London to rebuild the lives of people in recovery from addiction and homelessness.
Over that time, they have supported thousands of people to move away from chaotic lives on the edges of our society. Sadly, the situation is still critical for people who are homeless or struggling with addiction with over 440 people dying on the streets over the last 12 months.
About Your Place
Your Place, formerly known as Caritas Anchor House is a homelessness charity providing accommodation and life-skills support for single adults who are homeless. Their driving mission is to ensure that those who walk through their doors grow in confidence. Move towards leading independent, self-fulfilling lives by providing education, guidance, and personal rehabilitation.
About The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields
Close to our Covent Garden shop The Connection at St Martin’s helps thousands of people every year to move away from and stay off, the streets of London. They do this by tackling the underlying cause of rough sleeping as well as offering practical help.
