Trail running intro
:quality(100))
The first Explore Weekend was launched to celebrate Ellis Brigham's 90th anniversary. For 2026, the event will evolve with a new focus: empowering more people to access the outdoors confidently. Through hands-on sessions and expert-led experiences, Explore 2026 will equip you with the skills you need to plan and enjoy your own adventures. On 28-30 August, we are heading to the heart of Eryri (Snowdonia) and using Plas Y Brenin as our base camp.
We are bringing runners, hikers, climbers, and paddleboarders together to advance and progress our skills. Whether you want to try a new sport or gain further experience in an activity you're already passionate about.

We've partnered with Plas Y Brenin because we believe it's the best place for people to come and develop their skills. Together, we're supporting the Mountain Adventure Fund (MAF). MAF give young people from financially disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunity to be inspired and motivated by wild places. £15 from every Explore 2026 ticket sold will go towards MAF.
