TECHNOLOGY

As well as utilising decades of pack expertise Osprey also turn to their sponsored Ambassadors & Athletes out in the field for prototype testing. These dedicated professionals rely on their equipment in some of the harshest and most challenging environments, pushing themselves and the packs to their limit. The materials used, the features chosen, have to meet the needs of these environments and support these athletes every step of the way.

SUSTAINABILITY

Used worldwide, bluesign® is a system that manages the impact textile production has on chemicals, people, factories and our environment. Materials carrying the bluesign®-approved label meet strict ecological and toxicological requirements. Osprey are incorporating as many bluesign®-approved fabrics as possible and submitting materials to third-party labs for analysis and spot checking.

Osprey was born in California 1974 at the seat of a single sewing machine by Mike Pfotenhauer in Santa Cruz California with a head full of ideas and a desire to design & build innovative backpacks to the highest quality.
