The Maestrale XT is the new kid on the block from Scarpa, taking the best bits from the hugely successful Maestrale RS and tweaking them to boost freeride performance for tackling the steepest lines and fastest descents. It uses the same carbon infused Grilamid lower clog and adds a stiffer and stronger 2-buckle alpine unit, complete with beefy Booster power strap. Vibram soles increase grip, a Speedlock XT ski/walk mechanism is friction free and the Wave Closure System provides lightweight and secure closure.

Firm hold around the rear foot, medium width across the forefoot and over the instep but being a 3 piece shell there is some flexiblity for volume over the top of the foot.
Shell
Carbon Grilamid LFT shell, Grilamid cuff, mouldable. The Carbon Grilamid Web Frame on the shell provides downhill power for responsive skiing, whilst remaining lightweight. The Grilamid Bi-Injection Overlap cuff promotes instant transmission; on the XT the cuff is larger than the RS version for a feel more similar to a traditional overlap . A Pebax Axial Alpine Evo technology tongue blends overlap power and the ease of a cabrio style entry, resulting in more comfort, control and precision.

RECCO Technology

The technology enables rescue organisations to find buried or lost individuals quicker and to increase the chance of survival.
