Salomon's Gypsy has always been the go to board for freestyle/park riders. It's combination of playful feel and park friendly flex, delivers all the riding characteristics that most riders could ever need. However, over the last few years, we've seen terrain parks getting bigger and those experienced park riders having to step up a gear to make the most of them. With these changes, we've had to see park snowboards also change to keep up. This new generation of park board needs to be more solid and responsive, to be able to put it down on this intense terrain. So, step forward the new Gypsy Classick. Designed with Desiree Melancon, this upgraded version of the Gypsy delivers all the response, control and pop that even the most experienced park rider could ever need.
Sharing the same state of the art blunt profile twin tip shape and responsive Rock Out camber profile as the standard Gypsy, the Classick delivers all the control and feel that you could ever need, not only in the park, but also out and about on the mountain. In addition, and keeping in line with the changes to the standard Gypsy for 17/18, it also retains the innovative Quadralizer sidecut profile. This complex combination of Quadratic sidecut and Equalizer straight lines steps up manoeuvrability and giving the rider a level of control that defies belief.
However, it's once you start to look inside the Gypsy Classick that you start to see the changes. The responsive Aspen SLCT /Popster Booster core, which combines hand selected Aspen stringers with carbon reinforcing at the tip and tail is further powered up with the addition of the Gunslinger sidewalls. These incorporate an additional carbon stringer at the sidewalls running the full length of the board. This not only adds additional power, but it also helps dampen out those big landings. In addition, the new super-fast Area 51 finished Sintered EG base ensures that not only do you have the power to take on those big booters but you've also got the speed.
