    Bullet proof quality

I'd wanted a pair of these for years but they never quite made it to the top of the list. That was until the recent cold spell and the promise of a baltic cold walk in the Brecon Beacons. The Patagonia quality oozes everywhere - stitching, comfort, fit, attention to detail. I have 20 year plus Patagonia kit that won't wear out and these trousers are no different. The flat waist closure felt a bit odd initially until I'd worn them and realised just how uncomfortable trousers can be - these feel a bit like cycling bibs with no pressure or tightness around the waist at all. The material is supple and comfortable next to the skin. The zipped boot 'cuff' is tough and extendable, ideal for snow sports and general walking but not at all plasticky like some. Great thigh pockets and quality zips that will last and last. These are like a grown up version of Mountain Equipment's offering. Other than that, there's no competition to speak of. As always, delighted to own Patagonia kit. It's worth the extra outlay if you are looking for durable quality kit made responsibly.
