    Nordica Burner 13/14 Skis

Probably the most pleasant surprise on testing; from its stats we could see it had potential, but we hadn't heard much about it. The first thing we noticed is the smoothness and balance, at slower speeds it enters and exits turns with zero fuss. Then, as you gather speed, the energy of the wood core and the grip from sidewalls kick in. Medium and long radius piste turns were solid with an easy energy; on rougher snow the nose rocker comfortably aided turn initiation and worked in tandem with the 84mm waist to provide float without ever feeling big. This is a great allmountain ski for intermediate / advanced skiers, serious about getting away from groomers but not wanting to sacrifice piste performance.

Tester Comments: Marcin (Tower House) 'Skis great. Smooth, full contact with the snow through the turn; easy to manoeuvre and felt solid.'

Felt really grippy from tip to tail. Cut through the snow brilliantly and allowed for a mixture of turn shapes and speeds. Great for anyone on a budget but still wants a ski that will perform to a decent level.
