Mountain Equipment's Lhotse Gore Tex Pro - Awesome!
I needed a new jacket for the 2018 Alpine season, for high level trekking and bagging 4,000m peaks, Mountain Equipment's Lhotse Jacket ticked all the boxes for me. There's a good balance between jacket weight, verses rain protection. It's a comfortable fit over mid and base layers and the hood wraps in close without limiting vision and movement. It has extra wear resistance where its needed and there is more room in the shoulders, so it didn't feel too tight, unlike some Alpine jackets. I'll definitely be recommending this jacket to my other staff and clients alike! Duncan, International Mountain Leader
Mountain Equipment Men's Lhotse Goretex Pro Black Medium Jacket
The professional reviews on Youtube and the internet etcetera were correct it is probably the best value for money jacket at its price point.
Easier if I say what I think is wrong with it:
When using a Shirt (Polyester = 65% & Cotton 35%) with the Osprey Men's M/L Farpoint 40 Rucksack I sometimes sweat.
Sometimes slightly fiddly getiing my Bose QC20 2nd gen. Android Noise Cancelling earphones into the inside pocket and pullign-up the zip.
Zip up the central zip without probably my Osprey Farpoint 40 Rucksack's chest strap either switching the remote button off or reducing the sound.
Sometimes the earplug would fall out when I have the hood up.
Moving my head is excellent when I am using the hood but not perfect.
Gave it 5/5 because probably no other jacket would be better despite not trying others.
But also far too many professional experts rated it as being the best even in magazines.
