CLASS-LEADING ALL TERRAIN CHARGER.
Without a doubt, K2's new Broadcast is one of the most exciting boards of the year. Combining high-end construction with a versatile all-terrain shape, K2 has created a board that can push the limits wherever and whatever you ride. So, no matter if you're charging groomers, ducking ropes or even lapping the park, this utterly stunning snowboard will have your back. Built around an advanced tapered directional shape and utilising K2's all-mountain Directional Combination Camber profile, the Broadcast is stable, energetic and playful, but best of all it does this at a price that embarrasses boards costing a whole lot more.
All-terrain riders who are looking for a high-performance board that can take on and destroy absolutely any type of terrain or riding style.
Built around a versatile but well balanced tapered directional shape, the Broadcast delivers excellent performance across the whole mountain. By keeping the taper to an absolute minimum, K2 have managed to keep the Broadcasts freestyle credentials pretty much intact while still giving the board that predictable and stable feel through the turn that you only get with a tapered shape.
The Broadcasts directional camber pushes the most aggressive part of the camber back to the rear of the board. This keeps a mellower transition in the nose which helps bring the nose up in the pow. By pushing the camber towards the back of the board, K2 increase drive and power in the tail, enabling you to sit on the edges and drive the board out the back end of the turn.
Internally, the Broadcasts high-end construction is headed up with the advanced B.A.P core. Created from a combination of beech, aspen and paulownia it delivers the perfect balance of durability, performance and light weight. However, it's when you get to the structural layers where you begin to see what makes the Broadcast so special. These are formed from K2's unique ICG 10 Bi-Ax Glass with Carbon. This unique construction integrates carbon bands running tip to tail into the bi-ax fibreglass. This complex blend of glass and carbon reduces overall weight while stepping up power and pop through the length of the board without adversely compromising the board's torsional flex.
To give great glide in all conditions, the Broadcast utilises a 4000 grade sintered base. This base is fast, durable and requires less waxing.
