Ideal for rocky dry conditions. not great for wet-muddy terrain
I went into Ellis Brigham and discussed my upcoming race (TransGranCanaria) with the staff who were extremely knowledgeable and recommended 6 or so shoes to try. The 275 fit great and had the right amount of cushion comfort for long races.
TGC is over rocky terrain with limited chance of rain. The 275 shoes are great for rocky volcanic surface with extra room at the toes. Together with hilly socks I only got minor blisters and toes were not bruised!
I have previously used the Inov8 X-Talon 212 which i found comfortable for runs such as the 10 Peaks Lakes which is wet difficult terrain. The X-talons were great for this event as they do not retain water and are light.
I used the 275 for a Thames Path run which was wet and muddy and these were not ideal for the race. The grip on the shoes is not as pronounced as other shoes but the comfort is great.
I would say these are great shoes if you choose your terrain and race.
Amazing Trail Trainers
These are my first trail trainers I have ever bought so cant compare to others but I love these trainers. They are so comfy and do exactly what it says on the tin (Excuse the pun). I have done a few trail runs since purchasing them and they are so comfortable and excellent for grip up and down the hills
I would recommend these to anyone
