The ones I wanted to take home
I had a go of these skis yesterday at the indoor temple of gloom at Hemmel Hempstead.
This is not the best place to test skis as its hard to get the feel of a new ski in 50 Metres.
I have not skied on these before but I think I was missing something. Of all the skies I wanted tried yesterday these are the ones I would take on holiday, or ask for in the rental shop.
My skiing is 99% on the piste, so a narrow waisted "hour glass" ski really does it for me. I love to crank over and feel the carve, and this did just that. I liked the wide shovel on them as this would give me the confidence to ride in the deep bits occasionally to the side of the piste where the bad boys go. The technician explained to me that the reason I probably liked it so much is that it was constructed with traditional materials in the traditional way.
Anyway I liked it.
