I bought this jacket for half price in the sale, and even then it was still an expensive jacket. The insulation was thinner than I expected, but the jacket was still reasonably warm generally. However, I was extremely disappointed to find that there was NO insulation where the main pockets are on the front lower half of the jacket - either on the outside of the pocket, or between the pocket and the inside of the jacket. Why??? This meant that everything within the pockets remained cold (causing battery malfunctions on my camera due to low temperatures) and one assumes I was losing a great deal more heat through these areas than the insulated areas of the jacket. I would go so far as to describe this as a design fault. For a nearly £400 jacket that's inexcusable. Notwithstanding this, the styling/design is nice, the fabric soft and unrestrictive, and I received complements on how it looked. But in a ski jacket, the performance is the key element. I'm glad I didn't pay more than £195 for it.
For the price of the jacket I would expect a little bit more, for example recco. Although a lovely soft and stretchy fit I didn't feel that this jacket met the practical aspects that a jacket should have. I couldn't fit a phone and a walkie talkie in the pockets. My main reason for returning though was because the matching ski pants didn't fit me and I wanted a complete outfit.
