I think it's pretty safe to say that the Wizard Stick is one of our favourite boards. The fact that somebody at DWD decided to take a regular twin tip and then cut it into the shape of an 80's powder board is nothing short of genius. But what's even better, is that although it looks strange, it rides brilliant.
As a true ride-anything board you really can stick this on your feet and take on everything that the mountain can throw at you. Whether you're hitting the park, blasting groomers or smashing those powder hits on a freshies day, the Wizard Stick takes it all in its stride.
Now as we said earlier, despite its powder board looks, the Wizard Stick is actually a twin, so you get all the control and manoeuvrability that you would expect with a traditional freestyle board. To this DWD then add their versatile Crossbreed Camber. This combination of rocker from the nose and tail to the inserts, and positive camber between the feet, delivers a floaty hook free ride with the added benefit of a more solid and responsive overall feel, ensuring that whether you're just playing around or hammering it, the Wizard Stick won't let you down.
Internally DWD utilise a durable poplar core, this is further reinforced with two birch strips running through the length, which gives the board that extra bit of pop and really does help give it that alive feeling that people love about the Wizard Stick. But, let's not forget that under that unique shape lies a freestyle board, so, DWD use a softer flexing bi-ax fibreglass for the structural layers. This gives the board a butterier freestyle friendly feel ensuring that it really can take on everything that you throw at it.
Finally, the easy repair extruded base gives a fast glide with minimal maintenance.
