If for some reason you ever felt compelled to sit down and compile a list of snowboard brands that would never add a powder board to their range' you can be pretty sure that Dinosaurs Will Die would be sitting pretty close to the top of that list. Well, shock, horror they've actually gone and added a powder board to their range for this season. Staggering news this may be, but the second you set eyes upon it, it'll all make sense, because DWD's Pow Reaper ain't like any other powder board you've ever seen before.
Working on the theory that you don't need to stick with the normal snowboard shape to make a board work in the pow, DWD has created one of the most controversially shaped boards to hit the market in years, and you know what's even better? It actually really rips.
Built around a tapered Coffin shape with extended nose length and short tail, it features DWD's all-new Riser Camber profile. This blends a flat section under the feet with early rise tip and tail delivering a level of float that really is quite remarkable. Get this thing in the pow and the tail will sink whilst that extended nose rises, ensuring that no matter how deep it gets the PowReaper will totally blow your mind.
Internally DWD use their responsive poplar and birch wood core. This delivers the perfect balance of pop and power but with a smoother and mellower overall ride. Now add the Tri-Ax glass structural layers which step up flex and help give the PowReaper it's great all-terrain performance, and you have a board that not only rides great but pretty much stops everybody dead (get it) in their tracks.
The high-quality sintered base gives a great ride in any conditions.
