Service Your Skis In Summer

In our latest workshop blog, in-house ski technician extraordinaire Pete explains why servicing your skis during summer is a sure-fire way to winter slopetime success.

"A lot of people ask when the best time of year is to service your skis is, and my honest answer is summer! Now you may think that this sounds counter-intuitive and your winter holiday is at least 6+ months away, but once you hear why you should get it in done during summer, I think you will be heading down to your nearest EB workshop!"

Turnaround time

Over winter the two busiest months for servicing equipment are January and February. This means we are servicing hundreds of pairs of skis a week and this this all takes time. Unfortunately we sometimes have to increase the turnaround time for service equipment due to the sheer volume at these peak periods. If you have your equipment serviced over summer you can beat the winter rush and be ready for the mountains when the snow starts to fall!

Extend the life of your snowsports equipment

Maintaining your skis or snowboards so that they are tip-top condition allows you to perform to best of your ability, progress and have the most fun you can on the mountain. A summer service stops your ski bases from drying out in the hot weather and also protects your edges from any rust that may be forming. This all makes sure that your equipment keeps performing year after year.
