Hintertux Staff Ski Test - Day 4
What a difference a day makes. As hoped, the clouds of yesterday had lifted, leaving behind beautiful blue sky and fresh, light snow. THIS was the day to still have fat skis left to test.
Within seconds of the ski racks being filled from the store room, 16 of the widest skis were gone.
This was the day for the widest skis we could get our hands on!
The conditions were even better than they looked, with windblown stashes and untouched natural features all over the mountain. Armada's TST, TSTw, and JJ models were proving especially popular, though that isn't to say skis like Bent Chetler and Rocker 100, or the Sir Francis Bacon weren't producing smiles wider than the pistes.
A new brand to EB was also gaining a lot attention. DPS are an American brand that make some of the most desirable all-condition and powder skis you will ever see, and the testing was definitely living up to the hype.
Apart from being a powder day there was also a lot of filming and reviewing to get done after the poor visibility of the day before. Keep an eye on the website for the release of our reviews in early September.
