Hintertux Staff Ski Test - Day 2
The forecast hadn't promised it but we awoke to another beautiful day. Blue skies and bright sunshine. The snow may have vanished in the valley but there was still plenty on the glacier and the piste bashers had been at work preparing some perfect corduroy to test the piste skis on.
With the snow set firm for the first hour it was the piste skis that saw most of the action, and the Nordica Dobermans proved to be a very popular choice, earning excellent reviews for their precision and grip. The Head Titan and Magnum as always shone in these conditions.
It didn't take long for the snow to soften and soon the all mountain skis were seeing all the action, with Nordica NRGy again reviewing well alongside the ever excellent Blizzard Bushwacker.
The Nordica NRGy Skis proved themselves once again on varying terrain
We had Andy and Alex from Armada with us today and they skied laps with the testers, finding untouched stashes and lots of natural features. The ARV Ti stood out as true all condition performer, and the El Roy and Cantika proved that great value skis can also be great skis!
After another day in the sun and many runs down the hill, it was a busy training schedule back at the hotel, with a Douchebags luggage and Armada range presentation followed by a quiz. Dinner was followed by a quick session on ski construction and categorisation... followed of course by a night cap.
Snow is forecast for tomorrow so the ski filming for the reviews may go on hold as the cameras switch focus to capturing the thoughts of the testers.
