Katie first started skiing when she was 6 years old at Sheffield Ski Village. Her Dad took her and her sister Molly up there because he could see the slope from his office block. After the first lesson, she knew she loved skiing and wanted to carry on learning and become a better skier.
She carried the flag at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics and went on to claim 7th place at the 2014 and 2018 Winter Olympics, as well as placing 2nd at the Stubai World Cup. Inbetween competing at the Olympics she took part in the Freestyle Ski & Snowboard World Championships in 2015 and became the 1st British female to get a World Championship medal in freestyle skiing.
She is working hard to improve but also wants to keep having as much fun as possible and to push the sport as much as she can. After all, that's what it's all about, right?
