29th - 30th of June 2019
We've once again teamed up with Wild Night Out (WNO) to help raise money for our charity partner Youth Adventure Trust. For one night - and day - each year, we are encouraging you to get outdoors with your friends, family and loved ones.
What's it all about?
Wild Night Out (WNO) continues to celebrate Britain’s national day of adventure for the 4th year. For 2019, WNO runs from the 29th to the 30th of June.
People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to get outside and get inspired. You could go for a walk, kayak down a river, explore a National Park, jump in muddy puddles, go Geocaching, get on your bike, climb a tree or try something new...the possibilities are endless!
And when darkness falls, the fun can continue with a night out under the stars. You don’t have to head to the countryside, why not pitch a tent in your garden? Or if you want to be more adventurous try wild camping with friends.

Worryingly, research from Natural England shows that one in nine children in England have not been to a natural environment in the past 12 months. Wild Night Out was started by Explorers Connect founder Belinda Kirk in 2016 to encourage others to get outside. After 20 years of taking people of all ages into the wilderness, she understands first-hand the positive impact that adventure can have on people's lives.
The adventures people participate in vary from learning new outdoor skills (e.g. first timer kayakers or skydivers), to wild camping and world record attempts but the majority of families go for a hike, cycle ride, camp in their back garden or on a campsite.

Please encourage people to participate in Wild Night Out and to share the highlights of their adventures with friends, family and loved ones. The best photos, films or blogs will win Ellis Brigham vouchers.
Share your adventures on social media using #WildNightOut2019 & #getoutside.
