Snow Camp Alpine Challenge 2016 Entries Open
The Snow-Camp Alpine Challenge is a unique 2 day charity snowsports endurance event designed to give your team a skiing and snowboarding experience you will never forget! If you and your staff team, friends or family love skiing or boarding, need an excuse to hit the slopes for an extra few days this winter and like the idea of supporting a great cause at the same time then read on….
Dates: 14th – 17th January 2016
Venue: Morzine, Portes du Soleil, France
The 2016 Alpine Challenge is all about strategy, stamina, teamwork and fun! Your team of 4-5 people must clock up 150km of GPS tracked skiing or boarding over 2 non-stop days across the 15 resorts of the massive Portes du Soleil ski area, navigating to more than 20 checkpoints spread across the 660kms of the 15 ski resorts. The team that clocks up the most kms and successfully visits the most checkpoints will win the Snow-Camp Alpine Challenge 2016!
Whilst this is a real challenge, it's also great fun with a fantastic atmosphere between the teams both on and off the slopes. You don't have to be an expert on black runs or off piste either, if you can ski a red run this is a great challenge to get involved in and have fun.
Now in its 7th year, the Snow-Camp team have partnered with Ski Weekends to make the Alpine Challenge bigger and better, yet even easier to take part! This means for the first time, you have a range of flight, hotel and transfer options to suit everyone – making it as easy as possible for you to attend the challenge. Simply select your choices when completing the registration form and Ski Weekends will be in touch to confirm and manage your teams travel and accommodations plans.
Your registration includes: Challenge Entry, Flights, Transfers, Lift Pass, 3 nights h/b accommodation, GPS Tracking, Parties, Medals, Certificates & more! You can also sign up for just £100pp if you have already organised your own transport
Here's a quick taste of what the challenge entails:
By taking part in the Alpine Challenge you can help fundraise to support Snow-Camps growing work with inner-city young people – providing them with opportunities to participate in our snowsports based youth training and vocational programmes and making a massive difference to their lives and future choices. After you have registered, the team will be in touch to help set up a Team Fundraising page which you can easily send round to friends, family and colleagues letting them know what you are doing and telling them about the charity. Each team of 4 has a minimum fundraising target of £3,000 (£750pp) – and this will be managed through your page. So for just £200pp, and (we hope) an achievable fundraising target, we hope you'll agree you're getting a fantastic deal.
It's easy to register, just fill out the quick form on the events dedicated webpage www.snow-camp.org.uk/events/alpinechallenge and the team will look forward to welcoming you on to the challenge.
The 2014 Challenge broke record distances and raised over £40,000 for Snow-Camps work. Check out the full news story here. If you have always thought you would like to enter a team in the challenge then now is the time to get involved!
