What is the Salomon Skyline Scotland?
Skyline Scotland™ will feature four of the highest-octane mountain running races in the UK on the 18-19th September 2021. Will you be taking part or coming to Kinlochleven to soak up the race atmosphere and ring a cowbell to cheer on the skyrunners?
Races
Salomon Mamores VK™
An incredible leg burning and lung-busting ascent from sea level to Munro summit. It will take place late afternoon. Entries not vetted.
Salomon Ring of Steall Skyrace™
A variation of the classic 'Ring of Steall' ridge-walking route this 29km / 2,500m mountain race has spectacular views of Ben Nevis from the Mamores and includes short sections of easy scrambling. Entries not vetted.
Salomon Ben Nevis Ultra™
A Brutal 52km race with considerable height gain, great variability in the terrain including river crossings, and an airy traverse of one of Scotland’s most famous ridges, the Càrn Mòr Dearg Arête, leading to the summit of Ben Nevis. Entries not vetted.
Salomon Glen Coe Skyline™
Does this race need any introduction? 52km / ~4,750m of pure Skyrunning that includes the most challenging Scottish mountain terrain. Climbing experience required.
Salomon Skyline Trail Races
The Trail Races use the same Start/Finish arena as the already established Salomon Skyline Scotland™ races, and the starting times are close too, allowing all participants to enjoy a similar level of atmosphere and event buzz!
This also means that friends and family attending to watch participants of the established skyrunning events could run the Trail Races while they wait!
Grey Mare's Trail Race - 5K
With super-steep ascents and zig-zagging rocky trails, could the Grey Mare’s Trail Race be Britain's toughest 5km? But don't forget to also lookup for the fantastic views of Loch Leven and the surrounding Munros.
