2019 - Rubbish Walks
Register your interest below and you’ll receive a warm welcome as you join our friendly shop teams for a walk around some local areas picking up litter as you go. Upon arrival, you’ll be asked to read and sign a copy of this health and safety form.
Everyone who wishes to join us to pick up litter needs to wear gloves. We have gloves, and other litter picking gear, for you to use but may not be able to cater for everyone due to sizes and availability so please bring your own gloves if you have them.
Numbers are limited to 20 per event and as a thank you for your help everyone who signs up will receive a £5 voucher to spend instore.
Help out your local community and join our Milton Keynes staff members on a Rubbish walk on Sunday the 18th of August.
Our Bristol team are organising a ‘Rubbish Walk’ on the Downs every 1st Sunday of the month.
Meet at the shop at 160 Whiteladies Rd at 9.50am where we’ll arm you with some litter pickers and we’ll head out to rid the Downs of rubbish!
The team at our Castleford store covered around 1.5km of a woodland path fairly close to the Xscape building. Unfortunately, they managed to fill up three x-large bags with litter.
Our Chelmsford team braved this weekend's wet weather and were able to clean up a load of rubbish from the nearby River Chelmer.
The Chester store successfully carried out their first rubbish walk the other day. As you can see they managed to collect a fair few bits.
They collected a whopping 41 bags of rubbish from the side of the River Irwell, less than one mile from the store, in under an hour.
Our Cambridge team are organising a ‘Rubbish Walk’ on the 11th August.
Meet at Jesus Green Lido (CB4 3AX) at 10am where we’ll arm you with some litter pickers and we’ll head out for our rubbish walk along the River Cam.
Also, don't forget your swimmers if you would like to join us for a dip in the lido afterwards!
