Benj is Castleford's best answer to Action Man. He loves the outdoors and enjoys a multitude of sports including Alpine skiing, ski touring, climbing, hiking and running. It all started with skiing at the age of 6 and hiking at the age of 8, then when he was 11 he discovered climbing while running came much later.
As a result of his passion and experience he has gone on to gain numerous qualifications that allow him to teach others and encourage them to get outdoors safely, these include: Summer Mountain Leader for hiking, Single Pitch Award for climbing and he is a BASI Alpine Level 2 ski instructor. As you can imagine he is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to kit for a huge range of activities.
He has spent a lot of time exploring the various mountain ranges of the UK, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Canada and the USA but one of his favourite memories is having a cheeky bathe in a quiet tarn high in the Lake District whilst out enjoying a solo wild camp.
La Tzoumaz in Switzerland as it offers 360° panoramic views of the Alps with easy access to Verbier, the 4 Valleys and plenty of untouched powder. As his in-laws live in the area, he gets to visit pretty regularly.
