Bataleon Men's Goliath BYNDXMDLS Snowboard 2018 / 2019

For this season Bataleon has teamed up with Tor Lundstrom and Kevin Backstrom's BYNDxMDLS to launch a very special collaboration. BYNDxMDLS was set up as an antidote to the ever-increasing exposure of snowboard competitions. Its rallying call of 'Vacation Forever' underpins their whole ethos that snowboarding should be all about fun, not medals. To celebrate this call to arms Bataleon have introduced a very special edition BYNDxMDLS Goliath. Utilising the same state of the art Directional Twin shape and construction as the award-winning standard Goliath, Bataleon's engineers tweak the construction slightly to give the board a little bit more of a playful ride. This creates a unique snowboard that sacrifices very little regarding outright performance, but which gains a huge amount when it comes to just having fun. With it's an uncanny ability to handle any style of riding and any type of terrain, it wouldn't be too far amiss to say that Goliath BYNDxMDLS isn't too far shy from being perfect all-terrain snowboard.

Rider Style
Intermediate to advanced riders who are looking for a versatile performance board that will take on absolutely everything on the mountain.

Shape Overview
The Goliath BYNDxMDLS utilises a state of the art blunt tip and tail directional twin chassis. This versatile shape combines all the feel and control of a true twin, so when you're hitting the park, it gives you all the feel and control that you could ever need. However, by slightly increasing the volume in the nose, Bataleon create a shape that gives great float in the pow and a stable and solid ride on the piste.

As with the rest of the Bataleon range, it's the unique Freestyle 3BT shape with SideKicks technology that sets the Goliath BYNDxMDLS apart from its competitors. This advanced 3D base profile combined with overall traditional camber delivers truly stunning performance in all types of terrain. The Freestyle 3BT profile divides the base at the front and back of the board into three equally proportionate sections. The two side-base sections are then angled upwards with a medium height uplift to create the 3BT trademark profile. Combine this with the traditional camber, and you have a board that not only turns easier and with more stability, but you also get a board that floats better in pow as well as being more playful and forgiving for those days when you want to hit the park.

Side Kicks
SideKick dramatically increases the side base uplift just outside the widest part of the nose and tail. This makes turn initiation smoother, increases float in powder and improves handling of the board in rough terrain.

Internally the Goliath BYNDxMDLS utilises some of the best and most advanced materials available. Heading this up is the all-new Light Core. This super light wood core combines lightweight paulownia and durable poplar to create a responsive yet featherweight foundation for the board's great performance. But that's not all; this high-end core has even more up its sleeve with the addition of the DST carbon tubes. This innovative design inserts snappy carbon tubes into pre-milled channels running along the length of the board just in from the edges. These step-up pop and power through the length, creating a lively yet playful ride. To this Bataleon then fit structural layers formed from torsionally responsive tri-ax glass reinforced with carbon stringers running either side of the insert pack. These ensure that when you need the board to deliver, you can be sure it's going to be there for you.

To ensure that the Goliath BYNDxMDLS performs across all types of conditions Bataleon fit it with their Super Slick X Base. This high molecular weight base material is super-fast, super durable and requires minimal maintenance to keep its speed.
