Clocking over 15 years of experince since he started as a teenager, Angelo is well versed when it comes to camping and hiking.
He was born on the island of Madeira and spent a lot of time enjoying a variety of outdoor sports but it was his passion for geology that has meant spending much of his time in the great outdoors for field trips.
These trips have taken him all over the world to a huge variety of places ranging from the damp Scottish highlands to the dry plains of South Africa. He once spent a whole month camping in the Lake District while completing a 10square KM geological map.
He particular loves the Kamchakta Peninsula in Russia because he believes it's one of the last true wild lands on the planet. It's also home to 160 volcanoes, 29 of which are still active.
